I’ve noticed a pretty dramatic increase in the number of spectators with digital cameras along the sidelines of youth sporting events these days. And I have to say that some of you have some pretty nice equipment.

I imagine that with all the pictures you shoot you probably have a few really nice shots.  So why not share some of your best pictures with the rest of us and possibly win something in the process?

In the next few weeks we will be formally announcing a photo contest strictly for the parents, relatives, and friends. Although the exact details of the contest will be outlined later basically we’ll be accepting one image from each person and the picture must be of an action shot from a youth sporting event. The contest will be only open to amateur photographers in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area and you will have to state your relationship to the player(s) or team(s) shown.

All the photos will be looked at and judged accordingly. The winner will in turn receive a prize and have their photo displayed prominently on our blog.

Keep checking back for the formal announcement.
