Yes this is a blog about sports photography, my sports photography, but it’s also about photographers doing good things to benefit the greater good. Vincent Laforet is one such photographer.
For those of you unfamiliar with Mr. Laforet, he is a world-class photographer who shoots for high profile clients such as Vanity Fair, New York Times Magazine, National Geographic, Sports Illustrated, Time, Newsweek, and Life. His photo assignments have taken him all across the world.
He recently made an offer to fellow photographers. If we would agree to embed his gallery into our existing web sites and/or blogs, he will donate all profits generated by the sale of his prints to a student internship/scholarship. All but the first image in the gallery are limited edition prints. The first image, an aerial view of Times Square will be offered at a significant discount. This is an incredible offer and a wonderful gesture on Mr. LaForet’s part.
I realize that many of you may find the price of these prints to be somewhat steep but keep in mind that these are much more than simple photographs, these are truly works of art. Without further adieu, Vincent Laforet’s gallery:
